A Letter From Drew | 2022 Recap

On behalf of everyone at Canyon Ridge, thank you for giving in 2022!

God was up to so many good things in people’s lives last year. Almost 400 people gave their lives to Christ in baptism in 2022! He is writing fresh stories in so many lives, which is always worth celebrating!

We’re also celebrating Christmas! What an amazing time together, hearing the good news of Jesus inviting people to make room for him! As a church, we made room for more than 9,000 people. That’s over 2,000 more people than the Christmas before! While that number is really cool, it means that family members, neighbors, and co-workers of people in our church found their way to hear that message of hope and take a step in Jesus’ direction.

Keep going! We know that God has many new stories to write in the lives of people who choose to follow him, and there are some awesome things ahead in 2023.

I can’t wait to see and hear all the stories of baptism. I can’t wait to hear all the stories of groups gathering together, discovering, doing, and sharing. I can’t wait to hear the stories of those of you serving at Night To Shine in February. Or to how God will show up at Night of Worship and Easter just around the corner.

There are so many things that we will get to celebrate this year. But here’s what I want to make sure we remember. We only get to celebrate these stories because of how we give together.

Thanks to everyone who gave, especially the hundreds of you who joined in for the first time. I’m celebrating every person who decided to place more trust in Jesus in his direction and put part of their finances in the hands of a local church to do meaningful things in Jesus’ name.

We get to do this together, and I’m so glad to do this alongside people like you. Let’s keep going.
