Have you ever wondered how meals and tables play a significant role in the story of God's people? Look at your table and see how meals, stories, and lives are shared! The Communion table is what brings people together in remembering Jesus' sacrifice, examining your heart to reflect his, and extending his invitation to people in your life. If God has space for every kind of person, including you, to sit and feast in the company of many others, what might he be inviting you to do with your table?

• Acts 2:42, 46 NLT- 42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. 46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity.

• 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NLT - 23 For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord himself. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread 24 and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.” 26 For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.

• 1 Corinthians 11:27-28 NLT - 27 So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup.

• Galatians 3:26-28 NLT - 26 For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. 28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Discovery Bible Study is an easy-to-use way to hear from God, make good changes in our lives, and share with others what God is up to. • One person reads the story out loud to the group.

• Have 1-2 more people retell the story as if they were telling a neighbor outside their home.
