Canyon Ridge is a place where families go to get better and fostering is a tremendous way to do that. There are plenty of ways to get involved, either as a volunteer or a foster family.
Want an opportunity to show up and make a difference in the foster community, but aren’t quite ready to foster yet? Care Communities come alongside foster families to provide spiritual, practical, and emotional support and ease the burden of fostering by building a support network for foster parents. Joining one is your chance to come together to support an existing foster family and walk alongside them on their journey.
This is your opportunity to serve families in Foster Care as they care for their foster children. Canyon Ridge partners with Foster Kinship to supply as many families as possible. Show these families that they are cared for and loved by God by providing much-needed diapers! All sizes of diapers and pull-ups are accepted (larger sizes are especially needed).
You can drop off diapers at Marcie's Closet during their open hours.
Being a Foster Parent is a tremendous responsibility, and it can be difficult to find regular respite care.
This is your chance to take a breather and know that your children and your foster children will have a fun, safe, and nurturing time.
Join other foster parents to talk, connect, seek guidance, and input. It’s good to share struggles and successes with other parents who can relate. Held on the 4th Friday Night each month, from 6p – 8:45p in Room C110 at Canyon Ridge. Childcare is provided for birth – 5th grade.

If are interested in fostering and/or helping those who foster, join in on a Clark County Department of Family Service. This class must be taken before you can enroll in foster parent training/qualification. You can also find Foster Orientation Sessions with Olive Crest of Nevada.
This is an eight-week training through Clark County Department of Family Services for those who are interested in becoming foster parents and/or foster parent respite givers.
Families in the community can open their homes to host children whose caregivers who are in crisis. These families are fingerprinted, background-checked, trained, and vetted. The goal is for these families to welcome the children into the home while the Family Resource Center (FRC) helps to support the parents with tangible resources.
Commit to supporting a foster kid who is getting ready to age out of the foster system or has already aged out and is getting established into adulthood. Mentors encourage them to grow in healthy relationships as well as to negate isolation. Walk with them as a loyal friend while also helping them set individual goals.
