Three Questions To Help You Discover Scripture

Life is full of opportunities and challenges, and everyone wants the strength to meet both with unwavering confidence. With a checklist of goals and hopes for the new year, the things that get unaccounted for are often unexpected turns along the way. How can you be sure that when those come your way, you'll remain strong in who you are? God invites you to rely on his strength with his people, and as you do, you'll find yourself stronger than ever together!

What you do daily, weekly, often, and repeatedly starting now, will position and prepare you to be confident in whatever comes your way. One way to do this is by rooting yourself in God's Word. Discovery Bible Study is an easy-to-use way to hear from God, make good changes in our lives, and share with others what God is up to. This week, spend some time in Ephesians 3:14-19 with DBS questions:

"When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."

  1. What does this passage say about God, Jesus, his character, and his plan?

  2. What does this passage say about people in general?

  3. How will you respond to/obey this passage in a tangible way?

This week, spend time praying this Scripture for and with those you love! Take time to explore and reflect, watching for God's character and his invitation to you! Be curious about how God strengthens you alongside his people, rooted in his love.
