Here are 5 reasons you can show up with confidence for the people in your life:

  1. God's not mad, even though it seems reasonable that he would be.

Everyone is mad. Whether it's road rage or politics or long lines waiting for school pick up, it seems like everyone is mad! So it seems reasonable that God would be mad at us when we've made a mistake or haven't listened. The crazy thing is that God's not mad at us!

2 . Good news: Grace. Wins.

Romans 5:1-2 says, "Therefore since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory." GRACE is this place of undeserved privilege given to us, not something we earned. Remember: it's not all on you. God sets things right, he made peace, and grace wins.

3. The Good News is relational!

Relationships can make bad news good. HOW? Even when things aren't good, He is good, and even when there isn't peace around us, there is peace with God. What's more? God invites us to show up in the lives of people around us with a peaceful presence and with the good news we are daily experiencing!

4. Being friends with God means never having to go alone!

Romans 1:10-11 says, "For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God." So, not only is God not mad at us, what's more, is He wants friendship WITH us! So through any trial or hardship we face, being friends with God means that we never have to face it alone.

5. So, we show up with confidence and joy that there is GOOD NEWS!

Doesn't this good news that God isn't mad and wants friendship with us to bring you JOY? Let's be empowered to show up to our faces and places - the people in our lives and the places we encounter them in - with confidence and joy, ready to share the good news!

How will you show up with confidence and joy to the people in your life this week?
