5 Indoor Activities For Winter

5 Indoor Activities For Winter | By Heather Butler

Christmas has passed, the New Year is upon us, and school is out for another week! Here are 5 indoor activities you can enjoy with friends and family this winter.

 1. Make an indoor obstacle course!

Do not toss those gift boxes just yet! Instead, bring new life to them by creating an indoor obstacle course with cardboard forts and tunnels. The possibilities are endless!

2. Learn a new game!

Games make for the perfect opportunity to gather your people and enjoy hours of laughter together! Learn a new game, pass down a traditional holiday game, or even create a new one!

3. Enjoy hot cocoa!

Everyone loves a cup of hot cocoa to warm their hands and bellies in the winter. Have everyone grab their favorite toppings and watch a basic cup of hot cocoa turn into a magical moment! Enjoy, snuggled together with a great movie to complete the experience.

4. Scavenger hunt!

Keep it simple, or make every effort to impress as you scavenge for ornaments, treats, or any kind of holiday fun around the house! Raise the stakes and determine a grand prize! Get creative with maps or photos to document the process. This is a fun way to get everyone involved!

5. Baking contest!

Gather your ingredients, aprons, and spatulas because this will be a memory you will want to create. Take it a step further, and get your neighbors involved – either share the winning recipe or have them be the judge!

Hopefully, these ideas inspire your creativity and help you create lasting memories with family and friends! As you plan, think of ways you can include those you encounter. There is so much joy found in spending time together with the ones you love!
