Grateful When Life Is Hard

Ever feel like you can't catch a break? Have you ever felt like life is spiraling out of control? In a letter to the Philippians, Paul writes to followers of Jesus in Greece about how to experience joy even when things are hard. Do you know what's crazy? Paul wrote down his secret to facing it all as he was facing execution in prison. What was this secret?

"I CAN do this, because God strengthens me." (Philippians 4: 13)

What a powerful truth to cling to even in the face of death. What a hope he had in really tough circumstances. The good news is that the same God that strengthened Paul, will give us strength too!

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies."
