Five Affordable Things To Do In Las Vegas
Las Vegas is known for its glitz and glamor, but as a local, you don't have to break the bank to have a good time. Gather your family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy the city with these five affordable, fun, and interesting things to do in Las Vegas that are sure to be a memorable time:
Shop Local at the Summerlin Farmers Market - As the weather warms, the farmers market at the Pavillion in Downtown Summerlin is a perfect Saturday morning routine. Meet local vendors anytime between 9a and 2p to try new produce like blood oranges and honey, and shop around DTS for coffee and lunch at places like Makers and Finders!
Hike at Red Rock Canyon - Red Rock Canyon is a stunning natural wonder just a short drive from the Las Vegas Strip. It offers miles of hiking trails, rock climbing, and scenic drives. To enter the scenic route and access the multiple hiking trails on it, it’s $15 per vehicle, and free for locals. A local hack is to visit Calico Basin (entrance is before scenic route) for free parking, a beautiful boardwalk, and a walking trail with a beautiful view. It's a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoy some fresh air, and get your steps in.
Support Local Arts at First Friday - Every first Friday in the Las Vegas Arts District is a community outreach event called First Friday - a local fave. It’s a way to gather locals and tourists alike, support local arts, and meet upcoming creatives like musicians, artists, and more! Come for free, but bring some money to support art and grab delicious bites of food!
Listen to Live Music at Tivoli Village - For the months of April and May, every Friday and Saturday from 7-9p is live music at the beautiful, Italian-inspired Tivoli Village, an outdoor shopping area with great shops, incredible dining experiences, and areas to walk and sit with green courtyards. The live concerts will feature some of Las Vegas’ best local artists and musicians. This is a perfect date night or fun evening out with friends and family!
Have Fun at the Pinball Museum - Ranging from 1950s to 1990s pinball machines, the space is a unique and unusual museum perfect to play with the whole family, for a fun date, or when visiting the city! Located right across the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign, it’s a fun, vintage, nostalgic experience for all!
