3 Ways To Show Up Prepared

Everyone is invited to a life of significance in Jesus, "leading a life worthy of your calling (Ephesians 4:1)." Part of showing up well is showing up prepared.

For centuries, God has drawn people to himself, inviting people to come alive in him. He did this in your life, he's done it in others' lives, and he will do it again. Preparation is an ongoing process of being ready to partner with and witness the life God brings to people everywhere, every day, to everyone! Here are 3 ways to show up prepared:

1. Be someone who prays!

Colossians 4:2-6 says, "Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart...Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity..." How can you be prepared with prayer? Build a prayer team!

2. Have something to say!

Everyone has a story to share! Story is a way people foster connection and relationship. How can you show up with story? Identify your 15-second transformation story, and invite people's story with your story!

 3. Go his way!

A life worthy of your calling is not a solo mission but a communal commission to go together modeled by Jesus in his direction. Who in your life can you commit to going together with?

Be someone who prays. Have something to say. Go his way, together. How might the relationships around you change for the better because of how you show up well and prepared in Jesus' name?
